Feng Shui Bagua Map is one of the basic Feng Shui concepts. It was created on the basis of Feng Shui Magic Square, discovered by Yu Xia, a Chinese emperor.
Feng Shui Bagua Map Areas should be defined for the house in order to know which zones should be enhanced, or paid more attention to. This can improve a corresponding area of life. The Magic Square of Feng ShuiA Chinese emperor Yu Xia (2205–1766 B.C.), was managing irrigational works to save the country from a flood. One day he saw a huge turtle coming out of the Yellow River waters, with a magic pattern on its shell. The nine symbols of the pattern made up numerals. These numerals, in their turn, created what was later named a Magic Square, and a Bagua Map. The sum of numbers of each row of the numerals is always equal to 15, in any direction:
The magic pattern from the turtle’s shell became one of the basic principles of Feng Shui – Bagua. A separate direction has been assigned to each of the Magic Square’s numerals. Combined together, they are the Bagua Map. The Bagua Map AreasThe Bagua Map is used to define the Feng Shui areas of the house. Each numeral of the Magic Square, and each direction, correspondingly, is considered responsible for a particular aspect of human life.
Feng Shui Magic Square, which is a square made up of 9 numerals, is the foundation of Feng Shui Bagua Map. This map, applied to a house, helps to define where the areas responsible for different aspects of life are located within the house. Use and enhance the natural qualities of Bagua areas to improve the particular aspects of life.
